Beyond the Bucket List
Love’s Reflection was honored to launch our first Beyond the Bucket List – For the Dreams Still Waiting to Be Lived experience with a special event called “Love Me Tender.”
We learned about a woman in Crawford County receiving hospice care who has been a lifelong Elvis Presley fan, so we partnered with Orchard Park Assisted Living to bring in an Elvis impersonator for a live performance. The afternoon was filled with smiles, singing, laughter, tears, and cherished memories.
More than a wish, this experience embodied what Beyond the Bucket List is all about—bringing light to life’s hardest moments and reminding people they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.
Love In Action
Love’s Reflection recently hosted a special Love in Action Day for children in palliative care and their families — a day filled with smiles, laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.
One parent shared:
“Thank you, Love’s Reflection, for the incredible Love in Action Day. We had such an amazing time, and we truly can’t thank you enough for bringing so many smiles to the kids today. It was an unforgettable day for London, and she is beyond excited to share all about it with her friends at school tomorrow. Your kindness meant the world.”
Another message came from a family who recently came to our country from Ukraine:
“Thank you very much for today. We are very pleased that you invited us. Thank you and may God bless you and your family for everything you do.”
Brave Hero
Big thank you to Abby and Doug Humphrey!
Abby and Doug went above and beyond by organizing and gathering gifts for 10 residents in local nursing homes. The 10 individuals are people that have no visitors.
They worked directly with the nursing home staff to learn exactly what each person wanted, making every gift deeply personal and meaningful.
Moments like these are what Love’s Reflection is all about—seeing people, honoring their dignity, and reminding them they are not forgotten.
Thank you, Abby and Doug, for your compassion and for allowing Love’s Reflection to be part of something so special.
Time to Give Back to Our Own
When we learned that Kelly and her family had lost their beloved dog far too soon, we wanted to do something meaningful to honor her memory. We reached out to a talented artist to recreate one of their favorite family photos—capturing a moment filled with love, joy, and the spirit she brought into their lives.
Our hope is that this painting serves as a lasting reminder of the wonderful times they shared with her and brings a bit of comfort during this difficult season.
Kelly, as our Secretary/Treasurer, you give so much of your time, heart, and dedication to Love’s Reflection. We deeply appreciate everything you do, and it’s important to us that we support and take care of the people who help make our mission possible.
Making the Transition Easier
When Brent heard that Tom had transitioned back home to the non-physical, Love’s Reflection wanted to do something special to honor him for his wife, Tracy. Our sweet volunteer, Carrie Smith, is an incredible artist, and she painted this beautiful portrait of Tom. It was delivered to Tracy just moments before his celebration of life. We hope it brings her comfort, smiles, and heartfelt reminders of all the good times they shared.

Just One Last Ride!
When Love’s Reflection learned that Terry was in hospice, we set out to fulfill one of his bucket list wishes. We discovered his lifelong love for cool cars and his desire for “one last ride” with the top down. Together, we made that happen. Surrounded by sunshine and family, Terry smiled ear to ear as he and Brent cruised the country roads, soaking it all in. It was our honor to help bring this special moment to life, and we are both humbled and proud to display what love can do.
Here is the wonderful card we received after this wonderful day with Terry:
“Thank you for taking time out of you busy schedule to come see Terry and take him for a ride. It’s the first time we’ve seen him smile like that in a while. We appreciate you.”

Helping After A Family Tragedy
In 2014, Keyonte went off to the Marine Corp with hopes that he could have a better life. He struggled in school and even though he was loved by so many friends and family members, he just couldn’t find his way. In 2016, we left the Marine Corp because he felt it wasn’t good for his mental health. Keyonte continued to struggle once home. Unfortunately, he turned to alcohol to ease his pain. In 2017, Kendra lost her son to a car accident where he was traveling at a high rate of speed while intoxicated. She struggled for a while until she turned to God for answers. Her life changed overnight with God as a strong presence in her life. Keyonte, her son, was just about everything in her life and with God’s love, she was able to move forward. Then, in March of 2025, Kendra’s home was in a flood. She lost almost 75% of her photos of her son. She was devastated because she wasn’t home and was unable to save those photos. Love’s Reflection took the time to find some great photos of each Kendra and Keyonte and had a professional painter create this amazing art piece.
Words cannot express the kindness of this artwork! I have never had anyone just do something so nice for me and this means so much to me and my husband. Thank you so much for thinking of me in my time of need. This organization is doing God’s work and I couldn’t be more appreciative! Thank you so much Brent and the entire Love’s Reflection group. Continue to change lives one person at a time! Kendra
